One of my favorite series that I consider a guilty pleasure is Hotel Babylon on the BBC out of the UK. It's one of those shows that wisks you away into another world, where you can live vicariously at a glamorous 5 star hotel through the stories of the workers who spend their days and nights there. Besides the scandalous situations both staff and hotel guests get into in each episode, it's nice to see most of the show take place in various locations throughout the hotel, and of course my eye is drawn to all the interior design elements. There are always both good and bad, but always something familiar for me to relate to or critique.
What else might you see? A sexual romp between head of housekeeping and the assistant general manager in one of the rooms? Rock stars being overly demanding of the staff and trashing the Garden Suites? 20 maids quickly stuffed into a closet to avoid an immigration agent raid? I highly recommend finding this gem on DVD or the internet for your viewing pleasure.
