Unique Hotel Concepts - Iron Horse Milwaukee

I always find it interesting when hotels try to cater to a very niche market. Often it is risky, because in a way you cater to a particular crowd, but run the risk of alienating other crowds all together. Take this example of the new Iron Horse Hotel in Milwaukee. They claim to want to cater to both the business traveler and motorcycle traveler as well. I think they will be successful because although there are specific amenities that cater to motorcyclists (like specific bike parking with rag bins and check in carts, a washing station, benches at the guestroom entries with extra heavy duty jacket hooks, helmet storage, and flooring made for wear and tear of "high heels or riding boots), it isn't over the top obvious, and therefore anyone would feel comfortable staying there.
