It’s hard to think of areas in political turmoil as luxury destinations. But the brand new Mamilla Hotel in the heart of Jerusalem just opened with hopes of luring tourists to it’s location overlooking the Old City, and next to the brand new high fashion shopping district.
The hotel blends old world heritage with modern elegance. The sculptural metal staircase in the lobby is a beautiful example of modern form juxtaposed against references to ancient brick work.Guestrooms are well appointed with contemporary, light bathrooms and simple, but well detailed furnishings. I love the cream, grey, and acid green combination.
