This new restaurant called Gingko Bacchus in Chengdu, China is a great East meets West concept with plenty of design details to stimulate the senses. Typical Chinese layout with private VIP rooms around the perimeter are treated with unusual wall treatments. High resolution images are placed behind one way mirrors with timed lighting, allowing Dutch style 17th Century paintings to fade in and out.
Modern furniture juxtaposes nicely with patterned screens and other graphic wallpapers of abstracted fruit and the Roman God Bacchus (God of wine)
